Some non-traditional viewpoints on graphic design and typography.

Specifically, I’m interested in the potential of typography, particularly annotation, to critically unveil the values, contexts, and inherent biases embedded in data. Through this exploration, I aim to challenge conventional modes of thinking and reimagine the representation of data through alternative visualisations.

With a deep interest in Latin American design for social change during the 1960s and 1970s, and a firm belief that design can serve as a powerful instrument for democratising invisible facets of citizenship, my ongoing research aims to contribute from a decentralised position from a Global South thinking. By exploring design practices beyond traditional Western canon, the aim is to embrace a multitude of perspectives, encouraging a pluriversal approach to ways of making in the world.
